TD5 Defender Fuel Lines - availability and repairability?

    G'day,

The fuel line from filter to FPR on my defender 130 is leaking at the connector. I've called a few parts places and browsed the internet and seems like there are actually no replacements anywhere.

Has anyone ever found a replacement or had any joy getting a replacement made up?

Or even modified the original to fit a secondary diesel filter?

Thanks in advance for any info

I cracked one of the connectors when I dropped my fuel tank to change the fuel pump. No joy in finding replacement end, until I found a German company that makes replacement fittings out of aluminium. Ordered, and they arrived about 3 weeks later. Fit perfectly into the existing line, and clamped with band clamp. Has worked for the last 6 years.

Can't remember name of company, but found with Google, and searching for replacement connectors TD5 fuel line.

    Good luck,

Thanks for the reply Mudnut - Update I got a hold of a used spare from TR Spares in South Aus. They shipped it up nice and fast and I've had no dramas since!

Cool, glad you are on the road. Sucks breaking something, and being told "you have to buy a whole new line".

I still have 3 replacement fittings in my tool box.

On the plus side, it was having the Defender parked in front of my front door for over a month that persuaded my wife to let me build my shed.
