Sure can be sold. However is it wise to sell them? That is another question.
I had a bit of trouble in Qld with initial rego because the rear jump seats were out. First at the rego check which worked out OK and they warned me; then at the Registry office when they checked the data plate. The 7 seat SVX did not comply with it's data plate and the VIN with only five seats. Fast talking, or they could have required me to re-install. All that is needed is an awkward bureaucrat who is having bad day. [bigsad]
A pre sale rego check will bring about the same problem. One needs to get an "Engineering Approval" plate to not have the two extra seats. In addition plod could get awkward if they wished, because the vehicle does not comply.
Obviously, no seats to reinstall - PROBLEM!
