No mechanical differences apart from ABS Traction control and electric windows.
Couple of stickers and alloy wheels as I understand it
Mine came with bull bar so I presume that was included
Today I exchanged waves with a gent driving a Land Rover TD5 'Extreme'.
I recall them well, as I very nearly bought one in 2004 from the Ford dealership in Mount Isa (Ford handled Land Rover back then). I was on the point of paying my deposit when the dealership owner was discovered with his trousers round his ankles in the company of another prominent citizen's wife. I believe the romance was exposed somewhere strange like the showground toilets... At least that's what the gossip column in the North West Star suggested...
Anyway, the Ford dealership closed and its owner left the town under the cloud of scandal. Due to his indiscretions I ended up with a 200 series Toyota (which turned out a real disaster!).
But my question is, how (if at all) is a TD5 'Extreme' different from a regular TD5 Land Rover? Are their any mechanical differences?
Maybe I once knew the answer because I was about to buy one, but now I've forgotten.
Thanks
Alan

Thinking back my 2003 Td5 had the window operating buttons in the middle panel but only for the front windows.
AlanH.
My 2002 extreme has electric windows and yes it does have the plastic bit in the middle of the dash
I have a 1999 Defender Td5 Xtreme. It has ABS and TCS with factory Aircon (Fitted in Aust by the dealer). No Power windows. Has a white roof, boost alloys and matching body coloured wheel arches.

Very generous to call it Extreme. My wife's 2001 TD5 is an Extreme (electric front windows). Not quite as powerful as my last Maloo, but still fun to drive.
Not that I tell her that.
