We are going to do a tdv8 soon as we have a 110 chassis sitting here just begging for one,we will be mating it to the same six speed auto that’s used in our tdv6 conversion.It is going to be a fair bit Moore expensive than the v6 but at least it will be available.I can’t give a time as we are so busy putting tdv6 kits together to send over seas plus other rebuilds in the shop,I still believe the v6 is the best value for money as far as any petrol or diesel conversion goes.
What model Zf manual is it you use that adapts to the lt230?

I must ask - why the TDV6 ? if you log into the D3 /D4 section , they are all time bombs waiting to happen ,and there must be atleast 1 thread on every page on people worried , or concerned , or why they wont purchase this model , all because of the preceived crank / bearing failure of these engines...
I am not picking a fight here , as i own one of the preceived time bombs , but as an owner of 1 of these engines , for me personally its 1 of the most frustrating parts of being on this forum.
If i was a puma owner , i would be reading what you have done with joy.

I believe the very first tdv6 had bearing issues but after that very reliable if serviced correctly,i know alot of people had trouble normally after some one had done a timing belt change.There are a lot of high millage d3 and r/rover sports out there and ford would not have continued it in the territory if it was that bad.In saying that they did keep using the 3.2 in the rangers which is more of a grenade than a 3.0 litre patrol.We have looked at quite a few different engines to use such as cummins bmw etc,i think we have gone down the right path with this one and we can adapt this set up to the tdv8 if some one would like.We also have the ability to run pretty much any common rail engine that some one would like,the cost just gets prohibitive to adapt boxes and transfer cases.Quote:
