Very very nice! How's about a tdv8 in a D2? Now that would be a nice conversion. TDV6 Auto Defender conversion

Where about are these conversions been done? I'd be interested in looking at something like this when it eventually comes time to rebuild the Td5. (maybe just happen to slot a tdv8 in )

If his moniker details are correct - Wauchope is a town in the Mid North Coast region of New South Wales, Australia. It is within the boundaries of the Port Macquarie-Hastings Council area. Wauchope is inland on the Hastings River and the Oxley Highway 19 km west of Port Macquarie. The town is 406 km north of the state capital Sydney. Wikipedia

MY95 RRC LSE Vogue Softdash "Bessie" (turning circle comparable to QE II) with MY99 TD5 and 4HP24 transplants. Back home Nov 22 after a magic overhaul by Chivalry

That would be perfect as I’m just in the Hunter Valley and having been north many times know that area

D3 manual was a ZF GS6x53DZ. Same manual as found in the BMW M57 330d & 530d manual. Different bellhousing and the rear casing would need a custom adaptor if you wanted the keep the LT230. No idea if the rear case is the same as the BMW version. if yes, there are adaptors for the LT230.

there is an adaptor already available for the zf 6 speed manual to the lt230 so we can fit the tdv6 with manual if wanted.

    Very nice!
It's that the same gearbox they use behind the m57s?

The TDV8 would be the ultimate conversion!
