So much space in the engine bay.
So neat in the engine bay.
Gone to depress the clutch on start up more than once!
Relatively quiet with just a lovely, unobtrusive rumble in the cabin.
Engine bay noise is remarkably quiet.
Effortless driving, and I sat myself back in the seat a few times.
Quite novel leading the pack at the traffic lights!
Effortless driving.
The vehicle just feels tight, no rattles, shakes or hesitancy.
Did I mention effortless driving?
The whole experience dealing with Andrew and Paul at Les Richmond Automotive at Thomastown Victoria was Gold standard. Lovely blokes, nothing is an issue and first and foremost, they are Professionals who work to a no compromise level of work.
Im more than happy with my decision, the cost, the service, the work, and the end product.
Now to head into the desert once Lock down allows, if at all before the end of the access season, and most of all, thanks for all the lovely comments re this process, the build and messages of support fellas.
Im not a wealthy person, being an injured, pensioned out Veteran who is by them self, so this was a project to support and treat myself and my morale after a full on 6 years post injury, loss of career, health, old me, as much as modding the vehicle.
I very much appreciate the members here.👍
Awesome! [emoji106]
I reckon the current state government in Vic realise big time how short sighted the closure of Fairfield was in the 90's.
Could have accommodated a lot of the C19 patients without the risks associated with putting them in general hospitals across Vic.
It's shocking watching staff in those facilities on TV dealing with highly infectious patients with inadequate expertise at times.

Awesome defender mate, very jealous haha
Talk about the ultimate sleeper [bigwhistle]. It’s so quiet in the videos. :MileStone:
You are going to leave quite a few of the backward hat wearing comod P player brigade scratching their heads wondering what just happened and how did they just get owned :TakeABow::TakeABow:.
looking forward to hearing a detailed follow up in a couple of months on how it is all going.

That’s so nice. There is something very special to hear/feel/touch a completed project for the first time, and particularly one that is so one-off. I’m happy for you, may it give you lots of pleasure! Will you wave back at my humble yellow TD5?
Congratulations Ken. You now have a very unique and remarkable vehicle that is the envy of a lot of Defender owners.....especially me.
If you ever want to upgrade to a 130 with a 300Tdi....please let me know [biggrin]
