    WA engine conversion engineering

    Hello,
Has anyone in Perth gone through with engineering for a 300tdi to 4BD1-T. I have just completed conversion and have provisional approval from WA transport, but as new engine is ex-Perentie with no manufacturer year stamps on it I'm a bit worried about getting knocked back as I can't prove engine is newer than the one I replaced. Any insights appreciated.
    Cheers

Being a Perentie engine I would have assumed it was older than the 300TDI - noting the 300TDi was not released until about May 94 so likely manufactured from late 93.

Maybe try All Auto's in Cressall Rd Balcatta. I'm pretty sure they do vehicle inspections there and one of the guys has a lot of Land Rover experience. If they can't help, they might still be able to point you in the right direction.
