    Longer wheel studs

    Hi
Do I need longer wheel studs to fit Wolf wheels to my 96 Tdi 130?

Heard mixed different views on this.

    Thanks

I was under the impression that 130's came standard with wolf rims.

My 1998 130 HCPU had wolf rims as standard on standard length studs and standard wheel nuts. From memory the stud sat flush with the wheel nut.

You can get longer studs if you are concerned (part number FRC7577 and are 60mm long)

I've got fitted some heavy duty tubed rims from a 130 on my 110. They look just like wolfs. (Especially after being powder coated black)They fit flush on the stud. They are a very nice wheel. Previously I had fitted tubless wolf rims. These could have done with a longer stud, because there was a always a little thread left on nut. I still have the wolfs in the shed with some brand new 255s on them.

I've zoomed in a couple of photos and I think can just make out difference. First is 130 tubed HD second is tubless wolf.

How do you tell a genuine HD 2200kg Wolf rims. Did they come in black from the factory.
Looking at these on Gumtree. Off a 2009 Puma. I can get them a lot cheaper than what he's asking.

Add says they are sold.. did you buy them? What was he asking? The wolfs from KLR look a good price and come with zero offsett which could be useful..they claim you could run a wider tyre, but the wolf is only a 6 inch wide rim so I'm not sure what the wider tyre would be? A 255 works just fine on the normal wolf offset, and that's as wide as would fit on that rim I would have thought.

    Wolf Rims

I had to fit longer studs to my Series 3 SWB as the studs are a bit shorter than those on my Defender. The Wolfs sit with the stud flush with the wheel nut on my Defender, so all good.
