G'day all, my turbo is making wailing banshee noises and I'm sure it's not long for this life. I've begun the process of gathering the bits for a 4BD1 transplant but in the meantime I'd like to source a cheap replacement turbo that'll keep the old bus going long enough to get it to it's transplant appointment whenever that occurs. Has anyone had any experience with cheapies like this?
The engine change will happen as soon as I gather all the bits, so I'm reluctant to spend heaps on it at this stage. I've stopped driving it for fear of the turbo exploding and sending it fragments into a perfectly good Alisport intercooler, but I want to get it moving again ASAP.

I've got a turbo in Vic if that's any help. I've not used it but told it was OK.

Hey Don, I’ve put one of those exact cartridges in my old turbo housing to get me by and to be honest I’m quite impressed. Ive had it running in there for about 2 months and haven’t had any issues. The quality and finish of the product is surprisingly good.
