Can't say I have experienced that issue - but just use a Fuel Usage App on your phone and that will be more beneficial in a lot of ways
I have noticed on the past couple of long trips I have done that the Trip Meter rolls over the first 1000 klms and then after a couple of hundred more I start the motor and it has reset back to zero. This makes it hard to calculate fuel usage or trip report info which I like to do at the end. The ODO still works a treat and never faults.
Anyone experience similar issues or know of this fault? If so can you let me know as I would like to stop any further occurrences.
Thanks

We had this, battery was low and the start just blipped the power sufficiently to reset the trip meter.
Hey Chenz
I noticed the same thing with my new 2013 130.
The trip metre cycles back to zero after 1000 km. I just drove it home from Brissie so it happened four times in a couple of days!
I assumed the trip metre only ran to 5 digits, 999.99 (km) and then flipped back to zero.
But reading other responses maybe I'm wrong.
Cheers
Alan

Check that your vehicle battery is OK and that all the connections are secure.
The trip meter shouldn't be resetting on its own. This only happens when power is cut from the vehicle, when power is restored, the trip meter will be zero and your radio presets, if you have a radio, will sometimes reset to factory default (depending on the make and model)
Thanks. I did notice it was a bit sluggish to start a couple of times. I think there is something weird going on as I have a National Luna dual battery controller which has an LED readout for both batteries. Sometimes it reads that the crank battery is low and then the next time it shows it is fine. I would have assumed that if the crank battery was on the way out that it would be low consistently but this does not seem to be the case.

Seems to be a loose connection somewhere with the starter battery? On my truck, I added a lead shim inside the clamps before tightening them as there comes a point that no matter how tight you turn, there will still not be enough contact. The shims ensured contact between posts and clamp and there is no play when tightening them up.
I hope this helps.
