Question Rear Door (boot) Lock issue

    Hi All,

I have a 2015 Defender 90 and recently the boot lock has become sticky - when I press unlock from my key it unlocks all doors except the boot.
If I look at the interior boot lock, the sliding latch on the right is always stuck half way up the kidney bean/crescent shape.

I either have to use my key from the outside to manually unlock, or climb through the back and push the crescent latch down.

But after I manually unlock the boot from inside or outside, I'll drive down the road 10 minutes and it has locked again just by going over bumps in the road.

Has anyone else experienced this and have advice on how to fix?

    Cheers

Best bet is to remove the trim and hopefully you will see what the obstruction is.

    Common issues...
Its needs a good clean then lube.
You can more often than not spray some cleaner really well into the lock inside then spray some fav lube.
    Regards
    Daz
