Achieving a modest Puma lift with Rangie/D1 Coil Springs

Hi team - I've been told you can use these for a modest 20-25mm lift and the Puma won't have any drivetrain issues.

King Springs KRFS-1 and KRRS-2 were recommended but they aren't stocked by Repco/Supercheap in NZ. Was looking at stock Rangie/D1 coils from Paddock Spares.

Has anyone gone down this route? My springs in the rear are sagging slightly but I don't want to go to a 2" lift and create problems elsewhere (knowing my luck).

    Cheers

Easy enought to do, you'll just need to find the ones to suit your application

Put the rear Rangie Classic Police heavy duty coils in. Fantastic after a drive. Less bumpy and the modest lift I hoped for. Friend has some new TF014s that I can try in the front. They are 40mm but I have a winch bar and winch on so thinking it should balance out.

The front drive shaft vibration isnt a "puma" issue, its a random Defender thing when some are lifted 2"
The last one that happened to me was my Dad's TD5 130. The easy fix is fit a heavy duty double cardan front shaft from a discovery 2, with a new front output flange from a D2.

TF209 - is a Terrafirma medium load lift kit for a Defender, I have prolly fitted 30 or 40 of these to Defender 2007 - 2016.
its a moderate lift while giving the slight up at the back without the need to fit heavy load coils.

Add to the above, Gwyn Lewis sell a double carden with defender flange and Tom Woods will make you a defender flanged double carden if you give them the flange OD, PCD, and pilot diam.

just to add some more info...
Defender upto end of TD5 the front shaft are all the same length, so a Discovery 2 heavy duty shaft from British parts of Utah or one of your other fav suppliers is fine.
Defender TDCi (2007-2016, puma) the transfer case sits 70mm further back so a longer front shaft is needed.

Front done with TF014. Bit of a surprise at the lift but drives lovely. I may have done something wrong.
