I don't know what you're talking about here. I've got the factory ones that are 20 years old and not a spot of corrosion.

you've honestly never heard of defender door frames rusting? Really?

Edit: hahahaha you've got an ad up for defender doors where you point out there's no rust in the frames. So yeah, you do know what I'm talking about.

And those ones that I have for sale have been outside in the weather for 16 years and still no sign of rust!
I'm not denying that some do experience rust but I've owned more than 30 Landy's and have never had a problem with door frame rust.......... none of them had Chinese doors though!

Congrats, you're the only person in history to never have experienced galvanic corrosion in land rover doors. No idea why you're in here telling me this when all I asked was if anyone had experience with doors from China. Hope you got what you were after from this interaction though.

Good luck with your doors, whatever you end up with.
    End of story.

So first you have no idea what I'm talking about, then you admit you do, now it's "end of story" and not "yeah actually that was a weird thing for me to say when I actually do know what you're talking about". Great work, really helpful addition to the conversation.

You've owned 30 land rovers and NOT ONE of them has had rust in the doors? My dude, I can guarantee you this is not true. Boggles my mind why people insist on behaving like this on this website. If you have nothing to offer the person asking the question then you absolutely do not need to post. Get a hobby.

I've got a couple of the Chinese doors (rear passenger ones). Not fitted yet so can't comment on fit. But the quality seems pretty good.
They are the later Puma style doors. I plan to paint them and fit them up in the next month or so, after painting they will get a good rust proofing. I also have a couple of NOS genuine doors (earlier style) that I will be fitting to the front. It will be interesting over time to see how they hold up compared to the Chinese ones. I'll try to remember to keep the thread updated.

FINALLY! Thank you for this. The ones I've seen for sale the guy has already done the mod to fit the earlier defender winder mechs. My thought that was for the price you could fill them with chassis wax and surely there's a good 10yrs in them?

One concern is the guy told me each front door weighs 35kg. This seems heavy but I admit I don't know what the factory ones weigh. I'm worried what this might do to the hinges if they're much heavier than OEM.
