I often wondered why Land Rover never made a Defender 130 station wagon when the Puma seating came out. Think of all of the boot space BEHIND the third row of seats. I suppose it would have been a low volume vehicle sales wise. Then the engineering involved, a new roof section or a complete new roof. New rear floor section and new panels behind the rear passenger side doors. Anyway perhaps INEOS might do something if they thought it would sell. Just one of those thoughts that come and go...

Might even have been able to put the second-row seats in a position that a normal human could sit in comfortably.
Seems they did. From Defender2.

LR planned to end the Defender, not have new model runs.
It was not in their business plan going forward, and they couldn't wait to end it.
That is why the Puma was just a put together with poor engineering and very little quality control,if any.
