You will fit 255/85R16 to either rim. Although BFG does say 6.5" is the min rim for a 255. 265/75 is arguably too wide for either choice although some will jam a 265/75 onto a 7" rim. I get a 315/75 onto an 8" rim with plenty of sidewall bulge. 8" is the min for a BFG in my size. 265/75 was toyota issue for a while so you might find it more price competitive and more available in regional areas.
I've had 3 sets of BFG MTs and currently run Maxxis RAZRs. both have served me well. BFG KM3s were designed to comply with European standard of 87 dB for tyre noise. i don't mind the extra noise of the MT, especially when confronted with a steep sodden hill in the VHC. All MTs will get noisey with age.

Its a Reynolds-Boughton 6x6 conversion of a 1991 Defender, it arrived in Au with these rims. Actually the conversion was contracted by Land Rover Fleet Sales for Southern Electricity in the UK, and was fitted with a cherry picker body. Possibly SE required the 7 inch rims for floatation across muddy ground.Quote:

Are you saying the wheels on it now aren't "wolf" wheels, or that wheels spec'ed on the placard aren't "wolf" wheels?
The wheels on my 95 130 aren't "wolf" wheels, but they are the same dimensions, they are ANR 1534, they are a non tubeless, riveted wheel.

On balance it's likely from a 130, the original cab is a blue grey while the panel with the tyre placard is white. Renolds Boughton are impossible to get info from, so if not 6.5 130 rims it's possible it only had 5.5 110 rims at delivery as I cant see Land Rover delivering with after market rims.Quote:

Paddock spares are showing a 16x7 modular wheel with 8mm offset and a distance of 95mm from centre flange to outside edge.
Probably doesn't help you with the placard info, but at least might help identify those wheels.
