    Yes correct, and only in F from what I found. Have to enter a code to get it to pop up as the gauge doesn’t list it. Doesn’t matter as ultimately you are looking to stay in a range of temp whether DegC or F.

    I had the Ultragauge (sitting gathering dust now) in workshop. The SGIII is a good piece of gear and touchscreen.

    I use an Ultra Guage on the Tojo,only the Scanguage 2 was available at the time.
    I think the Scan 3 is now better,particularly as you can set alarms,which i can on the Ultraguage as well.

    The alarms have already probably saved my son an engine,after a rat chewed through a coolant pipe on his LC76....

    Yes and if I remember correctly, cuts in at about 114 degrees

    On a serious note, have you compared the Scangauge L/100 to working it out from pump and odo?

    I assume your can get longer term L/100, not just daily.

    Yep it updates as you drive… the further you drive the more settled the figure is… it does instantaneous but I’ll have to check if the SG can track across a tank. That said, that is home to work drive so I have seen quite a change. Measuring off this week’s full up tonight it is 10.48L/100km.

    While my hardcore off roading days are behind me, I still use the truck for disaster relief and assistance operations. I also recover others that get themselves stuck as well.
    Duckbill valves on airboxes are designed to let water drain out while keeping contaminants from getting in, but their safety for deep water crossings depends on a few factors:


    Pros to running a duckbill valve in your airbox:


    • Automatic Drainage – They let small amounts of water escape, preventing accumulation in the airbox.



    • One-Way Function – In theory, they should only open when there's water inside and the engine is off, preventing anything from entering.



    Cons & Risks:

    • Material Wear Over Time – If the rubber gets stiff from age or damaged, it may not seal properly. Ive seen duckbills on std defender airboxes than I care to count that are so old and stiff they are not only stuck open...they're as stiff as a board.
    • Positioning Matters – Depending on the airbox location and the location of the duckbill valve on it... water pressure could force it open. This is not an issue for the Defab Engineering one.



    Safe Usage Tips as always!:

    • Inspect it before a trip with deep water crossings – Make sure the duckbill is sealing well and not stiff or cracked.
    • Consider a Manual Plug – Some off-roaders block the duckbill during crossings to prevent any chance of water ingress, then reopen it afterward.
