Not long ago I posted this photo of my daughter on her wedding day.
Well when my daughter (and husband) returned from the honeymoon she had a couple of issues with the 300tdi.
One was difficult or sometimes non starting. Turned out to be a loose battery terminal clamp.
She turned the key to start it one day and the barrell turned with the key. Yep the bolt had broken. She called the AA and he got her going with a screwdriver fix. This allowed her to get to her mechanic.
She is rather sanguine about stuff like this. She said that after all it is a 27 year old Land Rover. She will have it seven years this coming October. She loves it, her first car. It is her going to work transport, she tows a horsebox with it. Uses low range and I get to wash it when I see her.
Seems fate has a sense of humour
