Sirroco,,
Welcome to Aus.
Now I'm sure there will be a few of us that would like to meet you and of course, check out your set up.
How long are you in Melb and surrounds. I doubt it would be difficult to set up an event as such,, you know, a BBQ at a park or something, perhaps a few of the guys will offer a trip around etc.
Hopefully for a little while as my great uncle lives here (who we are staying with) and a few friends from university relocated here. Im looking at jobs right now so atleast for the next 4-5 months (if I find work).
Truck passed customs and AQIS inspection 1st time around today so im sorting insurance and we can collect tomorrow! woo hoo!:D
Would be ace to meet people, I've not had a welcome before like I have had from people here in Australia. Its been a fantastic week already.
I have just gotten back from a weekend away with the Vic Scout 4x4 Service Unit. We were running trips for the big Venturer camp over the weekend. Every 2 hours we had a new set of kids in our cars to take out and try and scare.
We repeated the same course each time over the day. That way we knew that all cars on the trip are able to complete the track without any problems and it had a good selection of terrain to show the scouts what proper 4wding is like.
Here are a few shots from the trip. The jacked up 90 stole the show. Though my 130 with standard tires and no lift was still able to complete everything with ease. I do think that a lift might be needed though. As due to the length i was rubbing my belly over a few of the washouts.
The 90 did drive off on its own course to a track we hadn't checked out and decided to get bogged. Also its passenger had their window down during the experience. A lot of mud ended up all over them and inside the car. Very entertaining for all the kids to watch and then see a recovery.

Has Gwyn Lewis suspension kit with Bailey Morris props, 33s and not much else. Goes very well, waiting on my front bar so I can install my bow motor 8274 as well as more money so i can install lockers. But for the moment, it goes everywhere I point it!
