SubscriberA couple of photos from the last two weekends. I went on a drive along Black Mountain Road from Cairns last Saturday with the Cairns Land Rover Club and today I did a drive up from Bluewater near Townsville. The Bluewater track is very tight and good for adding a few pin stripes.

My first stranded breakdown in four years of Landy ownership.... I think I'm doing alright!!!
And of course good old Murph decreed that it had to happen halfway to Hobart in the middle of the Great Lakes area😫
All good though, had some fun!!

No I didn't make it to Hobart which is where I was headed, instead took six hours to get home by the time my recovery team (Dad and his 110) drove up and towed me back, wasn't that a fun trip!!

Just got home from the Land Rover Owners Club of Tasmania Committee meeting tonight. But not without drama!
'Fred' decided to not start after I pulled up in Salamanca Place to go to the ATM. My fault finding skills now being honed to the N'th degree, diagnosed a faulty alternator. So I hoofed it up to the Shipwrights Arms Hotel to the meeting, at least I got there.
After the meeting I hitched a ride back to 'Fred' in a Hilux belonging to one of the other members, hitched up his 'Thumper' battery to mine and 'Fred' was ready for home. Made it home ok with the lights on low beam all the way, but they were getting dim by the time I rolled into the yard.
Thanks James for following me home after getting me started.
