It's quite beautiful up that way Steane, did you go out Nariel way, some great tracks out around there. The Thowgla Valley is absolutely stunning in spring too, and of course no trip up that way would be complete without travelling along the river back home to Albury.
Not being able to get up there for drives is one of the things I miss the most about not living in Albury anymore.
It is a magic part of the world. It's a boy's long weekend away (happens each year) and we stay at a place that overlooks the Murray flood plain. It's about a 5 minute drive out of Corryong due east(ish).Quote:

Sounds like your staying at Colac Colac ('s) pronounced "Clack Clack" park, there's a road (Benambra) that almost t-bones it which follows the Nariel Creek.
There's some pretty steep terrain up there, awesome driving though,, making me highly jealous. ;)

Have done a fair few things to it since i bought it, the main things being the wheels and tyres, intercooler and BAS remap, Drifta drawers, dual battery, exbox, winch, led headlights, indicators, brake lights etc, light bars, work light and stainless water tank under passenger side from Daniel at Mulgo.
Other end of town, just past Towong, right on the Murray/Border at a place on Sullivan St which rises up over the flood plain. View is amazing and has Kosciuszko in the background.:cool:Quote:
