I've often drove past the Maytown turn off and wondered if the is much of the old town left. Is there much left there

None of the old town but in the area there is some old mine buildings and mining equipment .As metal detecting is not allowed I tend to just pass through

Just curious here, but how do u go about finding the necessary parts to convert it to a dualcab? Are the parts/panels easy to source?

I got it done through British Off-Road on the Sunny Coast. I can’t imagine trying to source things like the rear doors by myself, as even they had enough trouble finding all the bits, and they’ve made a business out of such things!

Not mine (I wish), but this cool Defender was in a display at the Brisbane Caravan and Camping Show yesterday.

Went fishing at Pigeons Billabong on the Pentecost River no bites so took some pix instead ...
