It is actually Povman's old Puma, he had a lot of troubles with the suspension after fitting 2in lift OME and finally returned the springs to standard height to fix the problems, the rear has 130 helper springs inside the original coils.

Never heard of such a thing. I'm going to fit air springs in the rear springs to counter sagging when loaded

It involved removing and straightening the track track rod twice, many many uses of both lockers, a dent in the front panel , a fair bit of winching, one popped off tyre, lots of severe hill climbs, an issue with the turbo not providing full boost and a bit of rain. Sorry I don't have any other photos of the track itself

The fellas I went with took two Series I landies through. One with modified body work but stock driveline and engine the other standard apart from a Holden engine

This is the track that 4WD Action attempted but ended up severely damaging most of the vehicles on the trip

Would it be a guy, Tom who is a plumber?
Many years age was down in this country in a F20 Diahatsu, only a week or so old and met up with this group of Landy enthusiasts. Top weekend.

Be very careful with that pod filter.

    a) not great for water crossings at all.
    b) pretty poor filtration for any dust whatsoever. IMO you may as well use a stocking.

Have a read of the K&N filter thread here Air Filter Tests (Finally)

isuzurover is a filtration engineer and did some filter tests in the lab on an old K&N I had, an OE spec air filter and a Donaldson filter.
Pretty sobering results if you are using an oiled cotton gauze one, and the K&N I had was probably 4 or 5 times your pod in filter area.

I'm confused. What's your snorkel connected to?

The red airfilter is one quick way to ruin your engine - see Isuzurover's thread on air filtration. The one fitted to your vehicle will at least keep out large rocks.

    Nice truck though
