My Td5 130. At the time was about the cheapest for sale which I've slowly been doing up for the past couple years.

I hear you. Even inept people like could replace a clutch on a series III, and other bits and pieces. But I look under the bonnet of a Puma and shudder 'what the hell do I do if this thing breaks down in the middle of nowhere'. Suspect I wouldn't have the head off on the side of the road like my mother did many moons ago (she's a fitter, so distinct advantage! and no, her landy, not mine).

Don’t have social media anymore and just found this forum.
Probably won’t use it much either haha, but thought i’d share a photo of my baby. Have taken her a bunch of places thus far, however due to the current Covid-19 situation, haven’t been anywhere.
Told myself it’s the best time to finally get the Alu-Cab Icarus roof conversion done.
So off she goes to have some minor surgery done, and come back a whole lot more awesome than she already is.
Never skips a beat ❤️
Enjoy.
Nice.
Why don't you start a Members Rides thread and document your journey?
I'm sure I'm not the only one who would be interested in following your Alu Cab experiences.
She may be out of her natural environment, but my County was looking all washed and shiny for the first time in a while...

My 36 year old after a few years love (and many more to come) Still puts a smile on my face whenever i have the opportunity to use her.
Even have a photo from another weird event this year, the smoke cloud from the Aussie bush fires turned our sky yellow over here in Auckland New Zealand.

Nice looking unit Landyv8.
I had the pleasure of working alongside some of your fellow countrymen that were over here as a "strike team" fighting fires here on the mid north coast of NSW. Hard workers with a good sense of humour. They were much appreciated and respected.
Are they Disco rims painted black ?
I'm also curious as to what size tyres you are running.
PS. Let us know if you want to swap prime ministers.
Hey mate, yes typical Aussie/Kiwi attitude, don't seek attention or hero worship like some other nations, just roll up the sleeves, get stuck in and get the job done. Always been the ANZAC spirit and it is reciprocal.
I believe the rims were an aftermarket accessory for the Range Rover Classic back in the day, they came in either powder coated silver or polished/chrome. I use to see them advertised in old Land Rover magazines in the 90's
Trying to find center caps to fit them was a real pain. I ended up getting VW Amarok center caps, sanding off the emblem, melting the securing tabs outwards to make them fit, they were the only items slightly close.
I then sent the rims away for sand blasting and powder coating in satin black.
Tyre size is 236/85/r16. Goes well on these. There is a road noise as expected from a MT but its not that bad.
Another quick question about your Defender, Landyv8 - do you have the name/code for that colour green?
I need to paint my lightweight and trying to find a decent matt green colour!
