    Strange Turbo noise

I've noticed a strange noise from the turbo on the fender. At normal revs it just makes a little whistle as it gets going, but at higher revs (under load), the turbo suddenly makes a high pitched whirring/whining kind of noise.
I think the 90 degree rubber pipe on the left side of the turbo is a bit soft, but I'm not sure this is the problem.

    Any ideas?

It sounds like 300tdi flatulence. The clips holding the elbow and straight piece of the turbo pipes need tightening, or there is a hole somewhere. Degrease the pipes and they should hold a bit better - or use HD clamps

Thanks, I'll go out and have a fiddle today. Might still replace the rubber hoses with silicone ones anyway.
