I find it hard to understand how ordering further away makes it cheaper for you

I assume they landed in Brisbane for that very reason - closer to me! Is it a "Sydney thing" to assume everything lands in NSW? :p

I lived in NSW for several years and QLD for even longer and all I can say is things are usually dearer in NSW:p

well yes when you have it shipped to a sydney address:eek: or am I missing something

so when my mum sends me a present from the uk am I to assume it goes to brisbane first?

Sorry dullbird - I think it was me that missed something. :) It does seem odd. I live 5km from Brisbane - perhaps the freight to our home was where the savings were made.
