I have seen these units work in the worse conditions with industrail vehicles.
These things are fantastic, but do have some draw backs.

Must be size matched to your engine
They make a spining sound for a minute or two after you turn off the vehicle while they wind down.
I think the brand used to be called SK, but I cannot find any reference to that name and this site may be the lastest version of the design.
    Air Precleaners
It'd be a Nelson/Fleetguard if Cummins sold it.

Is there any member that fitted the Donaldson Topspin?
They work very well on the John Deere tractors

Unifilter Australia Foam Air Filters for Economy and Performance

    click "products", then "4x4 pre-cleaners".

They have the droopy sock type and a slip over cover.

I've got a Donaldson pre-cleaner on my 300 tdi Disco that I leave on all the time. Always seems to be collecting dirt, bugs etc. In the rain it takes the water out of the incoming air....

What it is the required air flow range for the Tdi300 2.5 to 5.7 cm3/minute ?
Air filtration is important and the flow cannot be restricted therefore the selection of the proper prefilter is important.
Just wonder Unifilter how technical are with this compared with Donaldson?

    G'day Gents,

I have a Donaldson full cleaner on my GQ patrol, and it is awesome. No loss of power or noise, just loss of engine bay for second battery.

Did the Simmo no problems with it.

    Cheers,

    Dodge

Just been looking at the Donaldson website & it raised the question, what sort of CFM are we looking it in a typical 4x4 diesel engine of say 2.5-3.0 litres?
