How to use that rear space in my 130 HCPU

What I havent figtured out is how to fit a water tank in behind the cabin in the sloping space between it and the HCPU body.

Hey great utilisation, yes that void has puzzled me too I figured get a SS tank made to fit it or some form of bladder they would hold a good amount of water and be out of the way. You would only need standard type hose fittings to fill and supply water from it.

Thanks for that if you can get a couple of pics that would be great. The 130 has always seem the most utalitian and flexiable of vehicles out of all the landys (thats only my opinion). So it would seem only practicle to have good utilisation of those voids.

I think i'll do the same thing, now all I have to do is find the original ones to cut.
BTW, what size is the bar for the baby seats?

depending on the trip........

under the seat all the spare hoses, fuses, belts, oils etc etc...a pain when you need to get to it though that happens rarely;)

behind the seat spare rope, hats, snatch strap, blankets (for lying on when fixing things) shoes fit very well there also.


Long trips the seats come out altogether for better storage.

short trips the seats stay in and stuff gets put on top

Replace the though bolts on the seat legs near where they pivot with a pin and safety clip and the seats will be quickly removable.
With the wider RHS seat removed complelely I fit the fridge where the seat used to be and use the space on the floor to carry the chain saw box.
You can still carry one passenger on the LHS and tilt that seat forward to access the storage box underneath.

I got the bar idea from off this forum - probably the same link that Simon posted - seems to work well. The seat brackets/clips were there when I bought it. I didn't realise they weren't standard...
