This opens up a legal minefield. If they fitted a part that they know to be faulty and you injure yourself or someone else as a result all hell will break loose.
^ what Craig said,I can't for the life of me see LR fitting known faulty brake parts to a vehicle.They could be sued to the point of no return,look what happened to Toyota in America,in the region of 3 billion US for thier brake,steering and fire issue's. Pat
I know the unofficial LR guys here have used ford parts(cheaper but identical) when these pumps were unavailable for people needing them over holidays etc
It could be a LR thing. I'm pretty sure Nugget has had his air con replaced a few times with the same crook part. Though his is a general warranty and not a recall item, LR told him they where no longer going to replace it as they had a lot of stock of the same bodge part. So it was looking like he was going to be left without aircon. Can't recall the outcome details, but his air con has been fixed and is working again for now.
