Gday sorry to bring up a older post again ...
just a quick question ... are the single cab ute versions as good off road as the wagon? i know both are all around coils but the wagon has that little bit extra weight on the back to get it down ...

Obviously it depends on what you have in the back - and if you have not enough weight on the back wheels, you can always put a couple of sandbags in the back. But I suspect in most cases the lower all up weight would be more of a plus than the minor down of less equal weight distribution.Quote:

With the back off of my 130 it is really easy to get cross-axled on quite minor "dips" and you really notice if you don't have the centre diff lock in. The springs are set to work properly with some weight on.
If you wanted to do a lot of off roading without much weight in the back you'd probably be better off going for much lighter springs in the rear.
Don't know about the lighter weight. With my 167 litres of fuel and all the gear I have never had that issue.
The only issue with mine is the sway bar makes it lift a rear leg easily.
