In terms of power i think it partly depends on your mind set. Some people think the old series are good enough for traveling around australia etc...
I have a 200tdi defender ute and i know its no speed machine but it's powerfull enough for me, it can keep up with trafic and go up hills at a reasonable speed.
But maybe i should not me comenting seeings its about 300tdi and td5:wasntme:
