$185 is a good price. I paid $220ea (or was it $240??) for mine in Sth Aust.
Go the Wolfs. I think they look better than the Disco rims on a Defender personally....

$430 initial price after explaining to several tyre shops that there is a decent 7.50r16 tyre and it IS available from their suppliers-most didn't know the xzl existed and were trying to tell me I had to fit wierd metric sizes because 7.50r16 is obsolete ???;)-must have thought I was in a cruiser .$370 +tubes=$400 in 7.50r16 after shopping around,I'm saving my pennies

any of you guys running these boots at the moment because i seem to remember in the British army landies there was an issue with stopping on tarmac in the wet ....as these were my chosen alternative to buying bfg's and getting rid of the wolf rims for deep dish off set wheels.
If anyone has any experience with the stopping ability in wet on these tyres i would appreciate the input.
I may well be referring to the previous model tyre that was the contract tyre for British army land rover...i can get these tyres for 40 quid each from the u.k. plus shipping and may well do that when i ship the bulkhead and panels for the landy if i get any extras i'll give you guys the heads up
Caution in the wet is the byword!
They are not terrible, but then again, they are not fantastic. I always knock off a few KM/s when it's wet, and leave a bit more distance to the car in front.
Are the 40 quid per tyre units ex-military stuff? At that price I'd be getting quite a few of them!
my bad they are 65 each but i will wait for the guy to get back in contact as i am looking at a sanky trailer from him as well, the issue i have is because they have been used in recent theatres they have to be steam cleaned and jeyes fluid has to be used to treat them ( kinda sheep dip detergent for the u.k.) or quarantine might rip me a new one, will let you know how it goes
I'm at Adelaide at the moment just got a second hand wolf rim with tyre (BFG AT 75% tread) for $300.. They also had a few second hand Michelin's there with plenty of tread. This was at Triumph Rover Spares, they seem ok but they change there mind on prices constantly when I get quotes..
