    defender vents

    Hi All,
No I dont mean vent as in frustration or anger This may be a silly question, but how does one remove the forward facing vents. I have ordered new rubber seals and will need to install them.
    Thanks
    Mal

Assuming they are the same as the older ones, the hinge pin is knocked out with a suitable drift - I made one by cutting the point off a four inch nail - and the two small hex head screws that attach it to the vent can then be removed (open the vent). Don't drop them into the dash - you may have a major job to recover them.

The whole operation is done from outside, something to stand on makes it easier.

Also taking off the bonnet gives you a little more room.
