We did the same conversion on a 93 200tdi disco, it was pretty much a strate swap, you can run the same transfer, but make shore you swap the bell housing (don't try use the lt77 one on the r380, we found out the hard way)
It would probably be different on a defer though, so can't say for shore

Well in that case Stew, forget my post

I was under the impression from a friend who tried to get hold of one for us it was a bell housing swap...its just the bell housing is hard to get hold of for the 200tdi

bell housing, shifter links, cut weld etc.

Thanks Guys , I will revert to plan A , and recondition the LT77 .
