OK some questions:
Umm so what's the consensus steel or alloy ??
16x8 or 16x7 for a Defender 130 ?
What offset ? (What's legal here in Qld ? and what implications does that have?)
Fraz, I was talking to a mate last night, he was telling me promac at cardiff repaired his alloy he damaged on a gutter pretty bad and didnt charge him much for it at all, you might wanna give them a try

It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".

On a 130 you can fit standard D1 steelies 16x7 and it's almost the perfect size for a 235/85/r16
One 110's the rear spring mount sits on an angle so as to prevent using these rims without scrubbing out the inner sidewalls or getting the rims being flipped to change the offset. Not so on a 130, the rear spring mount is on a different angle, there is heaps of clearance. Disco steelies are like a 5mm centre wall and a lot stronger than sunnies.
Fraz - I reckon you should get yourself a set of Wolf rims. Genuine LR. Used by the Military. Heavy, but tough. Look sexy too!!
Not sure if you can fit fat tyres to them though. I run 7.50R16 on mine on the 130, and 235/85 on my 90.,
those Staun wheels are either a rip off of performance TX series, or they are made by Performance wheels and Staun drill an extra hole in em for the beadlock...

I've just seen this... well done!

These are 130 rims - 6.5". They look the same as wolf rims.
I reckon i'd have to hit pretty damn hard to bend one of these. You'd need a big hammer to straighten one too.
What about picking up some Range Rover alloys from the early 1990's?
Like these?
They are 7" and can pick em up pretty cheap. This will keep your unsprung weight down.
As mentioned earlier you are probably better off bending/breaking the wheels than something else more important/expensive..
EDIT: Just re-read and realise you may be in a 130 - The RR rims wouldn't be any good due to weight rating.![]()
Austyre in nerang on the gold coast sells the dynamica to a lot of the gold coast club members, they are pretty happy with them and they are 16x8 for the 130's around $100 each. U can have any colour you want as long as its black!
