Hi all I have traded up from a 1958 series 1 to a 1993 200TDI. I have had series Landys for most of my life & this is the 1st coiler ive owned.
The plans for the fender are lose the rear tray and build a 4 door ute.

Very nice man.
Yeah I sold a series 1 88" but I still have 4 other series 1s and a 2A W/S so its all good lol.
Looking at the pics the series 1 would have been tough to part with.
I thought you had the camo v8 county with the series tropical roof.
It would be fairly easy to convert the tdi ute to a 4 door twin cab. I seriously thought about it and had it all planned out. You have probably decided on how to do it but this is what I was going to do:
- use the rear capping and rear windows from the ute;
- obtain a county/defender wagon tub, sills/b-pillar;
- cut the wagon capping and weld the ute capping in its place;
- make up a steel frame to sit under the capping and in the tub;
- rivet alloy plate to the frame to divide off the ute part;
- fit seats/seat belts to the normal wagon locations;
- fit a 130 roof - this is the expensive part;
- checker plate the tub area to protect from knocks;
- cut a wagon door in half and use for a swing out tail gate;
- fit a wheel carrier to the back that opened with the tail gate.
I was going to use match the front of a defender and rear of ute roof. However the height was not the same. Landrover made a centenary edition twin cab in Australia where they simply shortened the roof and it had a 90 degree finish instead of a rounded finish like a 130 roof.
good luck.

Rar110 yes i do have a cammo 110 and it still needs so much more work to be done Motor, g/box, T/case, diffs, brakes all need to be reconditioning so i went for the fender lol it was easier, already has a diesel up front & not a gas guzzeling V8 & dont have to overhaul every thing.
* Use the lower back cab section off a old series 2A cab chassis as the infill section for the ute conversion on the fender.
*Locate a defender roof with rear end damage & do a cut & shut rear half of a 2A ute cab to make "doubble cab".
*Fit a series 3 tailgate or use cut down rear door.
*Modifiy body cappings so I can fit a soft top/canvas to ute rear & add rope "lugs".
Still working out where to have the spare, not sure to keep the bonnet mount set up and put pioneer tools on wings "Camel" style or
leave it fitted to lower rear door or fit a false floor in rear tub & have the spare under that????
It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".
