Thread: How many km does your Puma engine have? POLL

2011 with 83000 on it no issues with motor except for coolant smell?? Since new. Lots of other bits and pieces failed. Brake master cylinder, clutch master, turbo hose, clutch, adaptor shaft( changed because of back lash at 40k), rear half shafts twice, front swivel seals, hand brake drum ............etc etc all under warranty.

Just had the transfer case rebuilt with atb new seals bearings gaskets and Steel bush on intermediate shaft. It was leaking like a sieve. Goes well now

While I dont own a Defender TDCi (puma), I do look after quite a few that I have serviced since brand new (yes yes, big plug there).

on the higher end, 150K - 190K no engine issues, no water pump replacement, no turbo replacement, no egr fixes, less (if none) fuel related issues, which I've done on other TDCi models that have only come to me for repair and then servicing after the fact.

I've said this before... the Defender TDCi is by far the best Defender ever built.

45,000 Ks on my October 2013 build. No Engine problems. Yes charged Air System, apart from the turbo its self is crap but an easy fix.
I like my Puma very much.

A guy over on Defender2 has done 716,000km in his 2009 puma

the original survey thread languished inactive from late 2011 until June this year. About 4.5yrs! Most of the responses were in the pre-2011 period.

Presumably all those who voted prior to end 2011 have put a few more km on their vehicles.

This needs a restart as a new thread... so all can vote anew with up to date info.

Yes and without the silly "I don't own a Puma but feel the need to get involved anyway" category which drastically warps the results.
