Mines an 09 MY albeit an 08 build. I think that the Morgan analogy is apt.
I suspect Morgan's are made with a lot more attention to detail some how.

Thanks Mahn ... I'm starting to feel like Chicken Little

Since mine's apparently fresh out of warranty I don't even wanna go and look, but I think on the 130 the exhaust is routed differently...

Just checked mine (2008) after a trip down south with a bit of extreem suspension travel and my vehicle also has the scratches.

Dont forget guys (and Girl) that the exhaust also moves horizontally.... Shaking and rattling along

That gap, combined with a compressed suspension AND exhaust vibration will close up very quick...

Suggest forcing muffler across a bit too when checking clearance...

OK pic's of a properly cleaned prop shaft and the exhaust bracket on mine.

    From below:

    From above:

So it would appear that I don't have as significant problem as others but there a three small scratches on the prop shaft in line with the bracket. These show up nicely from the camera flash but I've inspected them and they are more of a mark in the paint than the surface.

I've looked at the other exhaust mounts and everything looks in place. There isn't a lot of movement in the exhaust line on mine. Mahn, Lou, can you check the other exhaust mounts and check that they don't look like the exhaust system has moved at all or any mounts look stressed. I suspect you will find they are all OK too.

The alignment on mine was so bad that the lugs would pull free from the rubber support and give the tail shaft a good old seeing too. I did put some pictures up in an earlier thread on this.

    Cheers.

Justin,my son has been complaining for awhile about a strange noise occasionally coming from the Puma.Guess what, that exhaust bracket has been rubbing on the rear drive shaft, exactly as per the earlier posts.
Its actually worn a fair bit off the lump on the end of the bracket
I will try & get a photo & post it up.

Now a trip to the stealers to see if they can fix it successfully the first time.

That is, after it has been to MR for a service,so anything else that is found can be fixed in the one go.

What's the noise like as I have a knocking under mine when pulling away in first and it really really sounds like an exhaust knock to me but couldn't see anything obvious when underneath..

however i don't know what others are like, but I got a fair bit of movement on the exhaust system when giving it a rock.

It is like a knock. The best way to tell if yours is doing it,you will see the telltale signs in the driveshaft exactly as the photo's in this thread.

    Good luck
