    Solar Isolation switch failure

    I just had a telergon isolator switch replaced. Service call booked 27 Dec serviceman visited yesterday... after 3 emails & 3 phone calls.
    Switch was supplied "at cost" of $150.00 Service call was $176.00

    It's 4 years old.

    I have another 3 of these so I better learn to DYI..

    If that is a roof mounted switch,,,, most likely that the sun and heat has accelerated its demise..... Over here in WA, each string on the roof must have an isolator switch on it,,,,as well as the one on the inverter feed in....
