    Electric Defender build

    Found this on FaceAche

    www.facebook.com/vintagevoltageuk/

For those without Facebook I'll drag a few photos over here . 2WD only & direct drive - no gearbox at all. I'd rather suffer a range penalty & have 4wd / hi -low . Mightaswell convert something more slippery if you only want 2WD. he's replaced the 3.54 rear diff with Ashcroft 4.75 . Direct drive still too high , it will be a slug unless he fits 205's - even still then.

Not my idea of a proper job but who am I to criticise, Im sure people don't like what Ive done either, Anyway , watching with interest.

cut the front diff out & replaced with a pipe

No worries, just cut right through the seat box & tunnel to fit the motor & inverter in , Would have been easier /. faster to unbolt it . .... some people have no dignity !!

    betteries in the front

and batteries in the back - not a fan of that either,

Yeah that RRC is great conversion & an example of how to do it.

Speaking of that Hill Descent mode, Now got it working on mine - bloody amazing . I screwed mine up to 350 amps & had to back it off .
