Perfect area for large scale solar. Plenty of space, plenty of sun and a strong grid from the old Coal power station that was shut down. Good to see.

Fantastic, Australia is the right place for this. This really should be Australian rather than foreign owned though. Hopefully this will bring a cleaner future.

Hi,
Coles have a huge hydroponics set up out that way. Even solar desalination for water from the Gulf.
Cheers
The Aurora project, and other thermal generation projects are exactly what we need.
Thermal is reliable power.
It's called "Sundrop Farms" and grows truss tomatoes for Coles and Woolies, they don't own it.
Moulton salts- very cool tech "concentrated solar thermal power station. It will able to store a massive 1,100 megawatt-hours of electricity, according to the project proponent, SolarReserve."....well under half the price of electricity from its inaugural plant in the US — and far cheaper than new coal-fired power."In terms of cents per kilowatt hour, we can supply electricity 30 to 40 per cent cheaper than new-build coal," Mr Smith maintained.
I wonder if a certain former person "self swear or political filter activated" will eat his budgie smugglers
