Don't know the answer to your question, but I'm investigating generators at the moment and I'm told I need about 1400 watts to run the air-con in our camper off a generator, to keep The Navigator in a state of happy coolness.
Given the generator would also be powering a battery charger and a fridge freezer, it appears I need a Westinghouse iGen 2500 generator, which will settle to about 2000 or so and comfortably power everything. The much-praised Honda 2000 doesn't settle high enough.
Not sure if that helps you though.
Mick the Honda is now 2.2 and should easily do what you like.

If you haven’t “built” the system yet
I would consider a 24V aircon and use an Engel fridge (12/24)
The AC would be only 500W or so and on 24V Engels sip power
Setup a 24V bank and solar and you’ll get away with a 1kVa genie to 24V charger and done

Thanks, but I've been through this with an electrician friend and we've chosen this Westinghouse because it settles at 2200 watts, is light and quiet and it's a lot cheaper than the Honda, but has better performance. The whole Westinghouse range is impressive actually. We're over-speccing a bit, as there is a Westinghouse 2200 which would do the job, but it operates at 1800, so for $200 extra we might as well have the extra grunt to operate at 2200.
