Vanadium for grid and lithium batteries

Seems Australia is well-placed to supply low-cost vanadium for grid vanadium flow and lithium batteries. Proposals for community batteries and for battery storage of solar and wind energy are also multiplying. Would be great if those batteries were made here.

    It's a private company development.

    Economics 101 - they’re looking for profit.

    Someone’s going to pay!

Mining isn’t a beta test, nor is it forced supply.
We offer to market then take bids.

Having batteries forced upon the public becomes dictated rather than consumer choice. Just like now, the illusion of a free market for power is far from reality.

If the days comes they want to do that here I’ll be asking for my connections to be removed and totally disconnect. I can rewire my place to ELV and the new grid can get stuffed!!!!

The company says there is a big market for vanadium, so I guess they know their business. They say their project will produce low cost vanadium compared with other processes, such as producing it as a by-product of making aluminium. Time will tell, I guess.

I was interested to see that lithium is a leading treatment for bipolar. When people talk about 'taking the waters' and mineral baths they are often ingesting lithium.

Pretty sure any company trying to flog their product will say there’s a big market for whatever they are selling.

If there is and there are buyers, good news for them.

Still waiting for the mythical price drop in batteries people keep waffling on about...

Good to see not only does our lithium mining have great potential, but the companies are planning to further process it here.
