    2- Small Modular reactor.

    "They are “modular” in the sense that each unit can be assembled next to another and scaled up or down to meet the local electricity needs.They are also designed to “plug in” to existing power networks and therefore can essentially replace an aging power station with a modern, reliable, and zero-emissions power source.
    SMRs differ from today’s more common nuclear power reactors in a few important ways:
    First, their holistic approach to manufacturing occurs through design simplification. Compared to the complex design and construction of currently operating large-scale reactors, simplification opens up the prospect of assembly-line manufacturing of pre-fabricated modules—providing economies of scale.
    As the majority of construction takes place off-site, building small modular reactors takes less time. An SMR has a projected construction time of three to five years, while a large reactor takes six to 12 years.
    And it is possible to construct a reactor with a single module or use units in combination for greater power output. Additional modular units can be added and brought online incrementally for greater power output.
    Secondly, SMRs are designed with a high level of passive or inherent safety features. This means operator intervention or external power supply are not needed to shut down the reactor and maintain cooling to remove the core’s residual heat in the event that power is lost to the plant."


    3- Making Nuclear waste safe or recycling waste back as fuel!

    I love this one myself "The SILEX Laser Isotope Separation (LIS) technology was invented by Silex Systems scientists Dr Michael Goldsworthy and Dr Horst Struve in the 1990’s at its Lucas Heights facility south of Sydney, Australia."

    Recycling "The Paducah project is underpinned by an agreement between GLE and the US Department of Energy for the purchase of over 200,000 metric tons of depleted UF6 tails, which will be enriched using the SILEX laser technology to produce natural grade uranium for sale into the global uranium market, and then further enriched to produce nuclear fuel for clean electricity generation."

    I think I posted the link to the making Nuclear waste inert in the other thread. Very deserving of the Nobel prize I thought.

    Anyone else think Dr Goldworthy and Dr Sturve will be Noble Prize winners in the next few years? I do.

    I've recently come across some Youtube videos by Kyle Hill - he has quite a few on Nuclear - while he is Pro Nuclear which comes across in his videos, he also explores the darker side of things as well in some.

    He did a video on Nuclear waste which I found interesting - link below.

    Germany has spent More than USD$500b on wind and solar over the last 20 years and they are stuffed plus the rest of the world will not make the same mistake. U308 redemption day in Germany will be swift.

    We do not have a spare USD$500b to waste do we?????

    The jump in the share price was nice as well. I hear a rumor it will be before 2030

    Cameco is a cool big Canadian I do hold a little bit of NOT INVESTMENT ADVICE

    They have been in Silex Global Laser Enrichment since an initial investment by them in 2008

    Why would they go from 24percent to 49percent now in 2022? Suspect they are very keen in the same idea as some of my money. Still need proof at scale yet I am more than sure a few Aussies will be Noble Price winners in when that occurs


    Did I mention I love Science recently ? And my chilli mussels they rocked as well

    To drop stocks by almost 50% is insanity plus in this black ducks view. Happily they can buy some more but $$$$ are likely to be $$$$$$$$$ for some smart business who are holding and not selling below cost.

    China has a S.M.R. (Small Modular Reactor) plan as does "NuScale Power Corp" NYSE:SMR

    Interesting the 2028 date is on a few projects now. Note by 2028 China is likely to build about 5 new N Plants per Year!


    The ford like mass production method of S.M.R. is, If it works, going to change a lot of things quickly.

    The proof is in the delivery and cost of course- Follow the money is a very easy trail at the moment.

    During the tech mania Ebay listed during market turmoil was chaotic plus. It was at $18 per share. Its now $48 after a Big drop over the last few months from about $80.


    Mr Gates Terra power is not listed yet. It will as Other Peoples Money is normal in the USA and here I think- It is interesting to read and watch it or it might be just me perhaps Home - TerraPower

    S.M.R. use a nifty safe nuclear fuel type I really like "High Assay LEU (HALEU)"

    concentrating or enriching the U235 isotope up to 5% for use as fuel in a conventional nuclear power reactor and up to 20% for emerging advanced Small Modular Reactors (SMRs to High Assay LEU (HALEU)). Enrichment is a technically difficult process and accounts for around 30% of the cost of nuclear fuel and approximately 5% of the total cost of the electricity generated by nuclear power.

    "The Paducah plant has a target commercial operation date in the late 2020’s. However, GLE’s owners are currently assessing the feasibility of accelerating this timeline in light of emerging geopolitical risks in the nuclear fuel supply chain, precipitated by Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Furthermore, these emergent risks may potentially result in multiple target markets for the SILEX technology in the global nuclear fuel industry including for natural and enriched uranium, worth several billions of dollars annually (see Nuclear Fuel Production Opportunities)."     Big flip of the switch

    Japan- Big flip of the switch. India and so much more lite a fuse yesterday here and a 12-20% change in US and Canada last night.

    The ship is leaving in a big way "Sprott Physical Uranium Trust" had hundreds of millions of inflows as did URNM and URA EFTs (NYSE)

    All three do whats called Mandated buying meaning Sprott buys U308 and URNM and URA EFTs buy Uranium stocks. BHP is quietly one of the biggest here as is Paladin (PDN). PDN is back from a near death experience we shared figuratively and literally. A few thought the real start would be US Labor day 5th Sept. A few billion jumped the gun last night?

    Still call bar humbug on the current prices with significant supply deficit and years + needed to get back to any form of supply balance.

    Not investment advice- I am great at loosing money as well.
