The Clevo I had in my old F100 used 2V heads with 4V valves throated to suit.

Torque monster.

The 4V headed Clevos I've driven were amazing above 4000 though.

F1 used the Cosworth DFV and derivatives that Ford commissioned/financed.

F5000 were mostly Chev based although a few Aussie punters used Repco/Holden's.

66,67 = 427
68,69 = 302

these both winning their repsective years.

But over all, Looking at the GT40's race history, the most prolific engine used was the 289.

other engines used much less were - 256, 305, 351, 390, 429 and a 496.
