Just found this picture online. It is a hummer (hummvee), showing the front axle. Interesting thing is the inboard location of the brakes. Have never seen that before. Looks very similar to rear brake setup on Jaguars. Has portal axles too. I suppose the reasons for inboard location are; easier fitting of portals, reduces the amount of dust and mud they accumulate, and a reduction in unsprung weight.

Inboard front brakes - used by Citroen sixty-six years ago. Major advantages not mentioned - able to use larger discs, able to arrange better cooling, no need to use hydraulic hoses (able to use much higher fluid pressures).
