Hi guys, I'm looking at an Disco3 and want to check to see the service history. I have the VIN so can I just call up a dealer and ask for the details? Do they give that info out over the phone?

Thanks

Only the servicing dealer will have service records unless it was sold under Land Rover's Corporate Service scheme.
In that case, any dealer will be able to check as the services are claimed through the LR warranty system.

Personally I would be careful of a D3 with no log book...... if you can trace it through the VIN all well and good for yourself..... but when it comes to you trying to sell the vehicle, potential buyers will be just as apprehensive……..

If you do find a vehicle missing a service book & Do find that the vehicle has a full service history & the customer has genuinely lost the book, you can obtain a service book only from LR spare parts. Send it to the servicing dealer & ask to have the book filled in for the services they have performed. ( I have done this many times for new owners).
That way when you do decide to sell at least the book is there.
Cheers.
