Hey all, just wondering what are my options with my brake master cylinder with my 92model rangie. The brake light doesnt go out on the dash sometimes and other times it does take a while for the brakes to come up to pressure. Air leak??? .Its the electronic vacuum model.
And also rear springs are sagging, any recommended brands for shocks/springs and how high can I lift it without changing the brake lines.

Do you have a Classic or P38? You say 92 model but you've also mentioned P38.
The brake accumulator gives you assistance until the pump builds up pressure. Is your brake problem happening 1st thing in the morning? If so, it's probably going to be a weak accumulator.

Well Im pretty sure its just a classic. But someone who "knows" RR told me "yeah, its a p38!". So im going to stick with the classic. Yes it does happen more so in the mornings, it used to only take 30-60secs to pump up. Would the accumulator be an expensive part and how can I check?
Also this is my first owned RR (although ive grown up with all sorts of models since I was born) what can you recommend on sprucing up the engine on a small budget, (its a bit slugish, although it has been sitting in my brothers garage for over 9mths). Was thinking cold air intake, filter and exhaust for now.
Thanks for the reply

To see which model RR you have, click on the links under my signature pictures as I have one of each.
The accumulator is a wear & tear part so if the problem is 1st thing on starting, that'll be it. You can wait for the pump to build up pressure if you like but it'll be best to replace the accumulator. The P38 one is around $200.
In regards to tuning, the basics need checking first.
Camshafts need replacing every 100000km or so. There's no point adding performance parts if the rest is not right.

Give us the VIN and we'll identify the car. There should be a plate on the slam panel above grille which gives the build date.
This is a P38A:

Cheers for that, it definitely is a classic. VIN# SALLHAMM3JA6nnnnn.
Will def also look at replacing camshaft as its done over 200000kms. give it a bit of a spruce up then start lookin at performance parts down the track.
Oh and with the brake master, the light does not turn off at all but the brakes do seem to come up to pressure over time. So will look at the accululator.
Cheers

Yep. The LH in SALLHAMM3JA is the model, and the JA the year. A P38A is an LP, e.g. mine is SALLPAMD3MA310nnn (the MA means 1995 model)
The accumulator is similar but remotely mounted if I recall correctly.
