My suspension is mucking around a bit. If I select access while stopped it comes up saying extended height and begins to lift itself to extended. I can get to access but I have to hold the switch to lock it. Normal and offroad are ok but I think it is taking a bit longer to settle at whichever height I have selected, in other words the arrow on the switch seems to take longer to go out. Have just tried again and if I select access it goes to extended and says select something once cleared obstacle. I can drive the car and it stays in extended with the same message. Have to select offroad height or normal to get out of it. seems to take abit more time than usual.

Still learning how mine reacts. Assuming there is nothing stuck in the suspension tripping the action, sounds like you may have to visit your local dealer. Pity we could not get the system to trip into extended at will. I am sure others will be able to offer more.

Yeah might have discovered something but I doubt it! My wife was trying to hitch up her horsefloat the other day and was trying to change the suspension height with the car door open... Maybe she has confused the system. Have also just found that going from offroad to normal it says its going to normal and then changes its mind and goes to extended! It doesn't register a suspension fault. I did notice that when I had the ignition on and engine off and tried to adjust the height it gave me a "suspension fault" readout.

I have seen this fault before on a D3, turned out to be a height sensor check the plugs on the sensors to make sure they ar connected & not dirty. Failing that it may require to be plugged in & diagnosed.
