no fuel to injectors on 300 tdi

Hi all,

I have a 300tdi defender, 96 model 130, 330ks, doesn't start, when I took the fuel line off the top of the fuel filter and turned the motor over, theres fuel there, took off the fuel line at the injector and no fuel when turned over,

at this stage its intermittant but getting worse, has anyone anythoughts,

Check the electrical connection on the pump - it maybe dirty or loose.

1.check fuel tank level
2.check fuel lines to filters for damage/leaks
3.check lift pump for function/leaks
4.check electrical connections on stop solenoid on INJ pump.

Don't forget to clean out the water trap,my guess is no power to the injector pump switch. Pat

My money would be on the pump solenoid too...

Stop solenoid. Probably clogged with bits of the internals of the injector pump. That's what happened to mine. :mad:

.....or could just be a loose wire.... ;)

the solenoid conection was loose and farily corroded, so hopefully sorted, thanks again
