Engine options for a series3 ????

Hi guys,
Firstly Im only new here so Im sorry if ive missed a simular thread but im just wondering what options ive got in regards to different engines that will go into a series 3 swb? Are there any type that will "bolt straight in" and which engines require the brakes to be upgraded? I was toying with the idea of a V8 but not sure of cost and all that is required in doing that.
Any info would be much appreciated.

I'd go commodore v6 and t700 auto adapted to the series transfer case

or ford v8 and either np435 or c4 auto adapted to the series transfer case

but whats wrong with the current donk?

I'd think a 200tdi from a early defender to bolt up to the series box and not kill it to quickly. The disco 200 are a pain to fit as manifold and TC are lower:( Some drop the turbo and go NA.
I'm looking for a 200 and 11a box for my series 111 109 ATM.
Please no one recommend a GMH:mad:
